Earn Some Joke Tokens For Your Memes
If you’ve never made a meme before, you’re not alone. In one survey in the UK, 94% of the population had never made a meme before. Let’s change that ratio today. I’m here to give you permission to make your very first meme. It doesn’t have to be good. In fact, I’d like you to make a crappy meme if you’ve never made one before.
Recently I’ve meeting a lot of grown adults in the Shipple community who have never created a meme in their life, but who are now creating them daily. It’s like they have become infected with the meme virus. It’s really weird.
“Shipple? What is that?”
Shipple is a joke cryptocurrency who’s motto is “make funny. Do good. Take naps.” It originated as a joke token making fun of Ripple and it was born from a meme. People who make Shipple memes are rewarded with SHIL, the native token of Shipple. The main distribution model of Shipple is unofficially called Proof-of-Meme, or POM, but there are also other ways to earn SHIL like giving to charity, documenting your fitness routines, etc. The next question you will ask is inevitably, “but does SHIL have any value?” Easy answer: not really :).
But Shipple is perfect for noobs who who missed the Bitcoin boat, or are simply too anxious to transfer money across the internet for the first time. Getting your very first SHIL is akin to receiving your very first email from a friend. It feels kind of like the early days of the internet but the tech that enables you to experience this is super fast and easy to use.
How To Earn Some Joke Tokens From Your Meme
Now that you’ve made your very first meme by following directions in my previous article, 3 Things You Should Know About Memes, it’s time to share it with others. That’s where the Shipple community comes in. The HQ of Shipple is a Facebook group called Shipple Basecamp and they will welcome your meme with enthusiasm: https://www.facebook.com/groups/440993556684878/
But there are a few steps you need to do before you share your meme in Basecamp. When you join Shipple Basecamp, tell them Stellabelle sent you.
Step 1:
Get an EOS Lynx wallet, which is available in Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.needly.eoslynx&hl=en_US
or iOS:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lynx-wallet/id1401398759
Step 2:
Create an EOS account name which must be 12 characters long.
Step 3:
Write your EOS account name on your meme plus Shipple.io like the meme above illustrates.
Step 4:
Join Shipple Basecamp on Facebook and post your meme to the group. Mention my name, Stellabelle, when you post your meme so that I can send you your first SHIL rewards for your meme. That way I will also know you read this article.
“When you plant a fertile meme in my mind you literally parasitize my brain, turning it into a vehicle for the meme’s propagation in just the way that a virus may parasitize the genetic mechanism of a host cell.”
― Richard Dawkins, The Selfish Gene
Note: This week in Shipple Basecamp, our MemeWarz6 theme for memes is cats. If you want to participate in this meme extravaganza, just make sure and add a cat to your meme.
