Ðogecoin was the first meme coin and it was started in 2013 as a joke. Six years later, not only is it still worth actual money, it has a market cap of $375 million and it’s trading volume was $50 million in a 24-hour period yesterday. For humans, memes work very well.
A brand-new meme coin has emerged in the last two weeks, and people are getting a bit worked up about it, for one simple reason: you cannot buy these new meme coins, you have to be bribed into doing something in order to acquire them.
If you’ve studied human nature for any length of time, you’ll quickly realize two things:
1. People want what they can’t have.
2. People want to have fun, love to escape from reality and don’t like too many rules.
When people find out they cannot buy or sell $MORTYS tokens, it makes them crazy to get them.
